Dark Souls 2 Seamless Co-op: full campaign with up to 6 players on PC

Twelve years after launch, Dark Souls 2 Seamless Co-op turns Drangleic into continuous co-op. Modder Yui, known for the Elden Ring and Dark Souls equivalents, released the alpha for the 64-bit Scholar of the First Sin PC version.

What Dark Souls 2 Seamless Co-op changes

Vanilla multiplayer forces a new summon after every death, boss and area change. Dark Souls 2 Seamless Co-op removes fog walls, syncs progress and keeps the session alive when someone dies. The fallen player respawns at the last bonfire. In theory you can run from the tutorial to the final boss in one session.

The group supports the host plus up to five companions. Beating a boss counts for every participant. Invasions and some covenants return; invasions can be turned off in the config. Not every covenant feature was ready at alpha launch.

Why it matters

Dark Souls 2 Seamless Co-op is not an official FromSoftware mode. It is a community project in the same spirit as Elden Ring Seamless Co-op. The co-op is easier than vanilla, as Yui noted on Patreon. Still, it is the first time the second Souls game can be walked start to finish without constant resummoning.

Availability

The alpha landed in the week of September 22, 2026 on Nexus Mods, only for Scholar of the First Sin on PC. Yui already patched a major Intel CPU performance bug.
