Peak arrives on consoles today: the co-op climbing hit on PS5, Xbox and Switch 2

The co-op climbing game Peak, which sold over 10 million copies on PC since June 2025, arrives today, October 22, 2026, on consoles. The digital edition is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, with full crossplay and all content already released on PC.

What is Peak?

Developed by Aggro Crab and Landfall, Peak puts up to four players (or solo) to climb a mountain on a mysterious island, in first person. The map changes every 24 hours, with different biomes (Alpine, Tropics, Mesa, Roots, Gloom, Citadel etc.), environmental hazards, climbing items, questionable food and proximity chat. It is the ultimate example of the "friendslop" genre — chaotic fun with friends.

The console version includes all updates so far, including The Final Ascent. There is crossplay support between PC (Steam), PS5, Xbox and Switch 2.

Why it matters

Peak was one of the biggest indie successes of 2025 on Steam and now reaches an even larger console audience. An exclusive physical edition for PS5, with disc, extra code for a friend (Buddy Code) and Scout Passport with stickers, arrives in December for about $19.99.
