Modern Warfare 4 shows the Hajin DMZ in the WorldBuilder trailer

Xbox published the WorldBuilder trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4's DMZ mode this Sunday, October 4, 2026. The video, about two and a half minutes long, drops operators into Hajin, a border region between South Korea, North Korea and Russia. It is the first longer look at the extraction mode in the new Call of Duty, which Activision had promised to detail this week.

What the trailer shows

In the official video, the narration describes Hajin as an area emptied after an invasion and a nuclear accident in the game's fiction. Military facilities under the city hold, according to the script, materiel that northern forces and irregular operators are trying to reach. The tone is exploration: clues scattered across the map, changing weather and factions on the move.

Earlier reveals, gathered by Insider Gaming, already described a map across three countries, dynamic weather, a hideout, crafting and roaming factions. For PvP there is a bounty system: players who attack without provocation build a Rogue reputation, become wanted and can be tracked by others who buy that intel.

When it arrives

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is set for October 23, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2. DMZ was announced in May, but Activision held the setting until this trailer. The official Xbox account summed up the invitation as exploring the world, following the clues and finding what is still waiting on the map.

The video is on the Xbox channel: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 | DMZ WorldBuilder Trailer. Setting coverage is at Insider Gaming.
