Rockstar Games and the Miami Heat have announced a one-night GTA VI Vice City event at Kaseya Center: on November 18, 2026, the team takes the floor as Vice City against the Milwaukee Bucks, the eve of the Grand Theft Auto VI launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on November 19.
What happened?
The Heat's official release, published October 2, calls the event A Night in Vice City. The GTA VI Vice City partnership includes a special court built for that night only, a never-before-worn uniform and game-night activations still to be detailed. The national U.S. broadcast is on ESPN; in South Florida, on Local 10.
The warm-up has already started. On October 1, Kaseya Center lit a “Welcome to Vice City” sign on the roof. From October 2, the Court Culture line began selling a Vice City collection in Heat stores and at MiamiHeatStore.com. A guide to the night's activations is expected to be updated at HEAT.com/ViceCity.
Gematsu summarized the announcement the same day: one night, hardwood “built for Vice City” and a new uniform. The court and jersey designs were not shown in the release.
Why it matters
Vice City is the Miami-inspired setting of Grand Theft Auto VI. Putting the GTA VI Vice City name on the Heat's home floor the day before the game hits stores is a crossover between the series and the city that shaped its look. It is not a DLC, a new mode or an extra release date: it is a live event, with tickets at HEAT.com/Tickets.
For anyone following the series, the concrete point is the calendar. The Heat release treats November 19 as the GTA VI launch date on PS5 and Xbox Series. November 18 is the night before, not launch day.
What changes in practice?
- November 18: Heat vs. Bucks at Kaseya Center, with the team playing as Vice City.
- November 19: Grand Theft Auto VI launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, according to the Heat and Gematsu.
- Already live: the Welcome to Vice City sign and the Court Culture clothing collection.
- Still unrevealed: the look of the GTA VI Vice City court and uniform.
