Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed arrives on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo's official US store lists the date, a US$39.99 digital price and an estimated 14.6 GB download.
The game is not new. Purple Lamp's remaster, published by THQ Nordic, has been on other platforms since September 24, 2024. What launches now is the dedicated Switch 2 version.
What Nintendo confirms
Nintendo's store describes higher-resolution visuals, an improved frame rate, mouse-style controls with the Joy-Con 2 and the included Costume Pack. It is single-player, with TV, tabletop and handheld support, plus save-data cloud through Nintendo Switch Online. The ESRB rating is Fantasy Violence.
Brazilian Portuguese is among the supported languages. Purple Lamp is the developer and THQ Nordic the publisher.
What still depends on a secondary source
Nintendo Life reported, citing a THQ Nordic FAQ, that Switch 1 owners would receive the Switch 2 upgrade through a free patch, digital and physical. The US store page checked for this story does not describe that path. Until THQ details the process by region, the free patch should be treated as reported information, not as a direct Nintendo store confirmation.
The same report says the physical Switch 2 edition ships as a Game-Key Card, not a full cartridge. That format does not appear on the US digital listing used here.
Why it matters
Rebrushed put Mickey back in Wasteland with the paint and thinner brush. On Switch 2, the announced difference is Joy-Con 2 mouse control, the costume pack and a technical presentation above the Switch version, not a new campaign.
