Charlie Cox records 40 hours of dialogue for unannounced SEGA game

Actor Charlie Cox, known for playing Daredevil and voicing Gustave in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, revealed that he recorded about 40 hours of dialogue for an as-yet unannounced SEGA game.

What happened?

During New York Comic-Con 2026, Cox told IGN he had just finished recording. “I did another one! It doesn’t have a name yet,” he said. “I did a Sega one. It hasn’t come out yet. It was fun to do. It’s hard. It’s a whole different job.”

He shared an anecdote: on the first day, the team expected an American actor but discovered he is English. “All of them went, ‘Oh, he’s English.’ They’d wanted him to be American. But now I’ve got to do 40 hours of lines I’ve not prepared in an accent.”

Why it matters

The 40-hour volume suggests a central role in a narrative-heavy title, far larger than the few hours he recorded for Expedition 33. Cox did not reveal the game’s name, genre or release date. SEGA has not yet officially confirmed the project.

The actor had previously said that Expedition 33 opened new doors for game work. The information was reported by IGN, GameSpot and Eurogamer.
