Black Clover season 2 premieres today on Crunchyroll at noon BRT

Black Clover season 2 premieres today on Crunchyroll. Asta is back on screen this Saturday: the platform confirmed the first episode is available on October 3, 2026, from 8 a.m. Pacific Time, noon in Brasília.

What happened?

Crunchyroll's announcement, published on October 2, sets the subtitled premiere of Black Clover and lists the covered regions: North, Central and South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, the CIS, the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. Brazil sits inside the South American window.

The original series, directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara at Studio Pierrot, aired from October 2017 to March 2021 and ran for 170 episodes. The film Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King opened in Japanese theaters in March 2023. The new Black Clover season reopens the TV adaptation after that gap.

What we know about the manga

Yuki Tabata began the Black Clover manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in February 2015. Serialization moved to Jump Giga in December 2023, ended in May 2026 and has already produced 38 collected volumes in Japan, according to Crunchyroll. The story follows Asta and Yuno, abandoned at a church on the same day, in a world where magic defines status.

Why it matters

Black Clover went years without a new TV season. The weekly return on Crunchyroll puts one of the previous decade's longest shonen back on the fall calendar, now with the manga already finished. In this notice, the platform did not detail episode count or the full season 2 staff.
