Belmont's Curse fits in 4.2 GB on Switch and asks for 10 GB on PC

Belmont's Curse, Konami's new Castlevania, is a small download for a 2026 release. The debut is set for October 15, the Standard Edition costs $29.99, and sizes have already shown up in stores: about 4.2 GB on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, near 5 GB on Xbox and 7.136 GB on PlayStation 5. On PC, the Steam page asks for 10 GB free.

What happened?

Twisted Voxel gathered the Belmont's Curse figures on October 4. On PlayStation, a game-size tracker lists 7.136 GB for version 01.001.000. On Xbox, the approximate figure is 4.96 GB. Switch and Switch 2 sit at 4.2 GB each. Those console numbers are reported from storefronts, not from an official Konami table. The 10 GB PC requirement is what Steam shows as free space.

Preload was reported for October 13, with a midnight unlock at launch. Konami's announced date is October 15, 2026. The US Steam store can show October 14 because of time zones; Konami has not published a regional unlock table.

Why it matters

The size of Belmont's Curse helps plan storage. A 4.2 GB game on Switch sits beside other titles without forcing a AAA deletion. On PS5, 7.136 GB is still small next to productions past 50 GB. The $29.99 price puts the title below the usual big-release tier.

The story is set in Paris in 1499, twenty-three years after Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse. The lead is Rose Belmont, daughter of Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades, using the Vampire Killer whip against creatures that invaded the city. Confirmed platforms are Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

What changes in practice?

  • PS5: 7.136 GB reported, version 01.001.000.
  • Xbox: about 4.96 GB, an approximate reported figure.
  • Switch and Switch 2: 4.2 GB each, reported.
  • PC: 10 GB free space on the Steam listing.
  • Belmont's Curse Standard Edition: $29.99. Preload reported for October 13. Konami launch: October 15, 2026.

Console sizes were compiled by Twisted Voxel. Until Konami publishes its own table, the PC number is the official store figure and the rest should be read as storefront listings.
