AYASPACE 2 turns AYANEO handhelds into a retro pocket museum

CONFIRMED: AYANEO unveiled AYASPACE 2 on 30 October 2026, a new Android frontend for its handhelds, dubbed a “pocket museum”. The reveal took place in a livestreamed sharing session dedicated to the KONKR Pocket Block and KONKR Pocket Advance handhelds.

The central idea is to treat the collection as an archive: boxes and cartridges appear in 3D, in a virtual hall, with game data — name, year, genre and publisher — built in. Recognition is automatic, based on the file, without manually hunting for metadata, and users bring their own games.

The emulator is built into the frontend, with no separate install: players can save, load, fast-forward and rewind, scrubbing back to the exact moment. Two handhelds on the same network can sync saves and records with a pairing code, and there are also cheats, screen effects, button remapping with turbo, per-game settings, save backups and English and Chinese interfaces.

For now, AYASPACE 2 is available for three devices: KONKR Pocket Advance, KONKR Pocket Block and AYANEO Pocket Micro 2, focused on Game Boy Advance games — .gba files, plus .zip and .7z, according to the download page reported by specialist press. The software adapts to each device's screen size and button layout. There is no information yet on when other consoles and handhelds will be supported.

For users of independent frontends, the appeal is integration: less switching between app and emulator, and a more polished showcase for the collection. The honest caveat is that automatic recognition still depends in practice on well-identified files — a point specialist coverage says it wants to test before endorsing.
