The Vermilion Mask confirms the anime's second part for April 2027

The Vermilion Mask, the anime of the Shuiro no Kamen manga by Dr.Poro and Nabana Naba, confirmed on Thursday, October 8, 2026, that its second part debuts in April 2027. The official site of The Vermilion Mask said it will air on Yomiuri TV and NTV every Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Japan time. Anime News Network reported the The Vermilion Mask announcement.

When part one of The Vermilion Mask starts

The first part of The Vermilion Mask premieres on October 10, 2026, at the same time and on the same channels. The production is planned as two cours, two blocks of about a quarter each. Crunchyroll will stream The Vermilion Mask as episodes air in Japan.

Yomiuri TV describes the story around Peru, a young apprentice mask maker who loses control under a cursed mask and kills his master and comrades. Wracked with guilt, he sets out to destroy the legendary masks his master crafted, meets unlikely allies and deadly foes, and enters a fight over his soul and the world.

Cast and staff

Announced names for The Vermilion Mask include Taihi Kimura as Peru d'Arrest, Yūki Yamamoto as Sonarue Maywood, Kazuki Ura as Mok Sharib, Takanori Hoshino as Gouon, Wataru Komada as Totoque, Junya Enoki as Zent and Kazuhiko Inoue as Gaston.

Tetsuaki Watanabe, who worked on Blue Lock season 1, is directing at 100Studio (WOW Studio). Gai Hazako is assistant director. Series composition is by Daisuke Ōhigashi, credited on Fate/strange Fake.
