Croteam and Devolver Digital showed, on October 8, 2026, the first gameplay trailer for The Talos Principle III. The philosophical puzzle game is still planned for 2027 on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. The reveal happened at the Triple-i Initiative.
The setting is the Anomaly, described as the only place in the universe where the laws of physics do not work as they should: crumbling temples and abandoned science outposts. The player wakes with fragmented memories and must solve increasingly complex puzzles while reliving a life as an explorer and fragments of human history.
What the trailer confirms
The footage promises familiar series mechanics and new ones. Players can follow only the required path or chase the Anomaly's secrets. The story is framed as the last step in The Talos Principle, with the same writing team: Jonas Kyratzes, Verena Kyratzes, and Tom Jubert. The score is by Damjan Mravunac, composer of the earlier games.
Named locations include a desert planet undergoing terraforming and the gardens of Elysium, part of a post-scarcity future Devolver calls the Universal Republic. The game was first announced in May 2026; what changes now is the first playable look, not a locked date.
What is still unconfirmed
There is no launch month, price, or version for platforms beyond PS5 and PC. Switch 2 and Xbox were not mentioned in this trailer.
