Tekken 8 Roger Jr.: boxing kangaroo arrives in November with early access on November 11

What happened?

Tekken 8 Roger Jr. had its gameplay trailer revealed by Bandai Namco. The boxing kangaroo, third DLC character of Season 3, is the son of the classic Roger from Tekken 2 and returns to the series for the first time since Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

The trailer, shown at EVO France 2026, highlights the unique fighting style where the mother kangaroo performs most of the attacks while Roger Jr. accompanies her from inside the pouch. The character arrives in early access for Season 3 Character Pass owners on November 11, 2026 and for all players on November 16.

Why is this important?

Roger Jr. is a nostalgic and comedic character from the Tekken franchise, known for his boxer look and exaggerated moves. His inclusion in Season 3, which also includes the crossover with Yujiro Hanma from Baki, reinforces Bandai Namco's commitment to bringing popular characters and collaborations to keep the game active.

What changes in practice?

Players with the Season 3 pass will be able to test Roger Jr. five days before the general launch. The character brings a fighting style based on wrestling, boxing and tail movements, plus comedic animations and a Rage Art that sends the opponent to the Moon. The game remains available for PS5, Xbox Series and PC.
