RTX 5090 jumps 132% in Germany in a year as the RTX 50 line climbs 66%

The GeForce RTX 5090 more than doubled in German retail over about a year. Hardware site 3DCenter compared street prices from November 2025 to October 2026 and recorded an average rise of 66% across the RTX 50 line. The RTX 5090 was the extreme case: from a band of 2,600 to 2,900 euros to 6,000 to 6,800 euros, a 132% jump. Chinese outlets including Sina, citing IT Home, and GamerSky picked up the figures on Thursday.

What 3DCenter measured

The comparison looks at street prices in Germany, not list price. For the RTX 5090, tracking says the German market no longer finds stock under 5,200 euros. Other cards also rose sharply: the 16 GB RTX 5060 Ti climbed 74%, the RTX 5070 Ti 60%, the RTX 5070 56% and the RTX 5080 51%. Without the RTX 5090, the series average is still about 57%.

Rivals did not stand still, but they rose less. 3DCenter puts the average increase at 46% for Radeon RX 9000 and 38% for Intel Arc Battlemage. The RX 9070 XT moved from 590 to 670 euros to 790 to 880 euros, about 33%. The RX 9070 rose 28%. On Intel, the Arc B580 climbed 41% and the B570 34%.

Why the RTX 5090 got more expensive

The tracker and the outlets citing it tie the rise to the memory squeeze. GDDR7 supply tightened, and AI data-center demand for high-bandwidth memory pulled supply that used to go to consumer cards. Boards with more VRAM felt it harder: the premium to pick 16 GB on the RTX 5060 Ti, according to XenoSpectrum using the same base, went from about 83 euros to about 243 euros.

What changes in practice

Germany is one market, not the world. The pattern still matches the memory crunch that has pushed PC prices up through 2026. In the German snapshot, the RTX 5090 stopped being a merely expensive flagship and now costs more than double its November 2025 band. Some buyers, GamerSky reports, are looking at AMD because the RX 9000, though pricier, rose less than the RTX 50 at several tiers.
