Resident Evil Switch 2: remakes 2, 3 and 4 arrive with 60 fps and discounts

Resident Evil Switch 2 received an important boost on October 16, 2026, when Capcom made the digital versions of the Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition, Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition remakes available. Physical editions arrive on January 29, 2027. The official announcement confirms early adopter discounts valid until November 7.

What arrived?

With these three titles, the main Resident Evil series is complete on Switch 2, including Requiem, Resident Evil 7 Gold and Village Gold, already available. The remakes use the RE Engine and maintain the over-the-shoulder perspective, with additional content in the Deluxe and Gold editions.

Performance and impressions

Analyses from outlets such as Tom's Guide, Nintendo Life and GameWatcher indicate that the games target and sustain 60 fps most of the time, even in handheld mode. There are small concessions in textures (especially character hair) and internal resolution, but the result is considered solid and comparable to previous-generation versions in many aspects. Features such as HDR, HD Rumble and motion controls are present.

Official discounts: about 25% on RE2 Deluxe, 33% on RE3 and 20% on RE4 Gold until November 7, 2026.

Why it matters

Capcom reinforces its multiplatform strategy and the quality of ports for Switch 2, which has received well-reviewed versions of the company's titles. For survival horror fans, it is the chance to play the modern classics anywhere with good visual fidelity and performance.
