Daedalic Entertainment and Quad Head announced on October 21, 2026 that Pratfall will come to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 in early 2027, with full cross-play. Pre-orders for the console versions are planned to open in late 2026, according to the publisher's official announcement.
What is Pratfall?
Pratfall is a cooperative cave adventure in which players fall, dig and blast their way in search of a lost dog. Along the way, they must catch falling friends, avoid traps and deal with the most dangerous force in the game: gravity. Procedurally generated biomes make every expedition different, while destructible terrain and explosives leave room for creative solutions and memorable disasters.
From Steam to consoles
Released for PC via Steam in April 2026, Pratfall reached 100,000 copies shortly after launch and has now sold more than 600,000 copies, according to Daedalic, which describes it as one of the most successful German indie releases of recent years. Daedalic will handle the entire console program, including porting, quality assurance, platform certification and marketing, in partnership with Quad Head, a four-person studio based in Leverkusen, Germany.
Cross-play and new features
The console versions will offer full cross-play between PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, allowing the whole community to play together. The publisher also says further new features will be revealed in the coming months, but has not announced an exact date or price for the console versions.
