Persona 4 Revival gets a Shadow trailer and keeps its February 18, 2027 release

Atlus has released the Shadow trailer for Persona 4 Revival, the remake of the 2008 RPG. The game remains set for February 18, 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, with Game Pass availability. On Switch 2, Gematsu lists May 20.

What happened?

The video, released in early October and still circulating on October 5, is titled Shadow. The official description carried by Gematsu returns to Inaba: a string of unusual murders disturbs the quiet town as word of the Midnight Channel spreads. The protagonist and classmates try to connect the mysteries and face Shadows, manifestations of one's other self. The copy invites players to awaken Personas and uncover the truth within the fog.

Persona 4 Revival is not a portable edition like Persona 4 Golden. It is a rebuild of the original adventure, dated by Atlus in June 2026. This trailer does not change the already announced calendar.

Why it matters

Persona 4 is known for the TV mystery, the Inaba cast, and turn-based combat that punishes ignored elemental weaknesses and rewards All-Out Attacks. A trailer focused on Shadows suggests the remake wants to keep that tone, not only refresh the graphics. Game Pass and a later Switch 2 window also widen the audience beyond players who already met Golden on PC, Switch, or last-generation consoles.

What changes in practice?

  • PS5, Xbox Series, and PC: February 18, 2027, also on Game Pass.
  • Switch 2: May 20, according to Gematsu, after the other platforms.
  • The Shadow trailer shows the conflict with Shadows; this material does not add a new date or platform change.
