Persona 4 Revival received the Welcome to Inaba trailer on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, a look at the opening of the remake. SEGA and Atlus are keeping the dates already announced: February 18, 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC, and May 20, 2027 on Nintendo Switch 2.
What happened?
The video, covered by outlets including Final Weapon, shows more of the arrival in Inaba, the rural town where the protagonist spends a year and where the Midnight Channel rumor starts. It is not a new date announcement. It is story footage for a game SEGA's official page calls a full remake of Persona 4 Golden, with visuals, UI, battles and events rebuilt.
The SEGA page still lists February 18, 2027. On Xbox, the game also joins Game Pass at launch and uses Xbox Play Anywhere between console and PC, according to the June Xbox Wire. The Switch 2 version is set for May 20, three months later.
Why it matters
The original Persona 4 launched in 2008 on PlayStation 2. Golden, the expanded version, arrived on Vita in 2012 and later on PC and consoles. Revival is the first large-scale rebuild of that story, in the same cycle in which Atlus modernized Persona 3 with Reload. The Inaba trailer is a reminder of the tone: small-town daily life, a school calendar and the midnight-TV mystery, without requiring Golden first.
The announced English cast includes Nazeeh Tarsha as the protagonist, Paul Castro Jr. as Yosuke, Anne Yatco as Chie, Brianna Knickerbocker as Yukiko, Abby Trott as Rise and Amber Lee Connors as Naoto, among others. The battle theme Prime Time Golden Hour Show, by Shiori Sasaki, is already on streaming services.
What changes in practice
Players who only want the classic story can still play Golden. Revival is the version aimed at people starting now: SEGA says it was made for newcomers and for players who already know Inaba. Pre-orders and wishlists are open on Steam, the Microsoft Store and Atlus's shop, which also sells merchandise bundles.
