Otome Heroine's Fight for Survival premieres in July 2027 with Fūka Izumi

Otome Heroine's Fight for Survival premieres on Japanese television in July 2027. An English-subtitled teaser, a visual and the first cast name arrived on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, according to the series' official account and Anime News Network.

Who does what

Fūka Izumi plays protagonist Alicia. Direction is by Noriyoshi Sasaki, whose credits include Ojisan to Marshmallow, Joshi Kausei and Holmes of Kyoto. Production is at Studio Clutch and Animation Studio Seven. Tōko Machida, of Lucky Star and The Idolmaster, handles scripts, Hiroyuki Miseki designs the characters, and the score is by Kohta Yamamoto, Shun Narita and Yūki Furuhashi.

The official X account posted the teaser with the July 2027 premiere line and the hashtags #otosaba and #乙サバ. The Japanese title is Otome Game no Heroine de Saikyō Survival. Some coverage describes the visual of Alicia, or of the identity she takes after rejecting the role written for her, in a torn cloak with a short blade. Geekiki uses Alicia as the protagonist's name, following Anime News Network.

Where the story comes from

The source is the light novels by Biyori Harunohi, illustrated by Yu Hitaki. J-Novel Club licenses the novels and Kobato Wakasa's manga in English. In the publisher's synopsis, Alicia is orphaned after a monster attack on her village, spends three hard years in an orphanage and runs away. On the run she meets an older woman determined to kill her. The hook is an otome-game heroine who refuses the written fate and has to survive.

What is still unknown

July 2027 is a premiere window, not a locked date. This announcement does not name a broadcaster, a time slot, an episode count or a Brazil streaming deal. What is confirmed is the month, the dual studio, the core staff and Alicia's voice. Sources: Anime News Network and the official account @otosaba_anime.
