Nvidia Naver Investment: Finalizes $1 Billion and Takes 4.13% Stake for AI Factory

The Nvidia Naver investment has been finalized with the details of the $1 billion commitment. The won amount was confirmed at 1.3412 trillion won, with the acquisition of 6,558,435 new shares at 204,500 won each.

What happened

According to Naver announcements and South Korean media reports, payment for the Nvidia Naver investment will be made on November 6. With this, Nvidia will hold about 4.13% of Naver, becoming the third-largest shareholder, behind the National Pension Service (9.49%) and BlackRock (7.31%).

The investment is part of the partnership to build global AI factories. Naver leads data center construction and operations, while Nvidia supplies the GPUs. The company plans to start a 55 MW factory in the first half of 2027 and expand to 200 MW by 2028.

Context

The partnership was announced earlier and depended on Naver securing at least $9 billion in computing infrastructure, which was fulfilled with a deal with Brookfield. Exchange rate fluctuations adjusted the number of shares and the won amount, but the dollar amount remains $1 billion.
