Hello Games launched update 7.10 Forsaken for No Man's Sky on October 28, 2026, bringing a Halloween theme with darker elements to the space exploration universe. On the same day, the game arrived for the first time on iPhone and iPad, including all 40+ previous updates and Forsaken on day one.
Forsaken new features
The update introduces “Haunting Mementos” that appear at infested outposts, deep-space hulks, abandoned freighters and planetary digsites. Prolonged collection attracts hostile Boundary Horrors. New Forsaken Traders can be summoned at outposts to trade these mementos for biomechanical corvette modules, new cockpits (Vantage, Hornet, Viper, Mantis), habs and hull structures.
Other highlights include the Larva Cannon Multi-Tool and Larva Tank helmet, courier/postal missions with corvettes, seamless warping to visible stars in the sky without opening the galactic map, minimal HUD mode, radial Multi-Tool menu and accessibility improvements. It is the fifth major update of 2026, after Remnant, Xeno Arena, The Swarm and Cosmos.
iOS launch
The version for iPhone (from iPhone 11) and iPad (iPad Air 3rd generation or higher) allows testing the beginning of the game for free. Full unlock costs around $19.99 and includes 10 years of content. The download is small (around 4-5 GB), with support for touch controls, gamepad, mouse and keyboard on iPad. Multiplayer and some settlements are initially limited, similar to the original Switch launch.
Sean Murray, founder of Hello Games, highlighted the work on battery, thermodynamics and custom controls to make the experience viable on mobile. The journey continues in the No Man's Sky universe.
