Half Human Games, the developer known for the game Dwerve, announced on Wednesday (October 14, 2026) the dark cosmic fantasy tactical RPG Myths from the Maw.
The game puts the player in charge of a band of mercenaries on expeditions through a fallen space fortress called the Maw. There, sin and corruption shape the heroes: blood sacrifices to alien gods, narrative choices, and battlefield actions accumulate corruption points that alter behaviors, generate sinful traits, and can cause characters to abandon the group to join the Cult of the Maw.
Key mechanics
- Turn-based tactical combat with area-of-effect patterns, knockback, immobilization, and repositioning abilities.
- Corruption system that affects both gameplay and camp and narrative events.
- 12 races and 20 classes (such as Shadow Knight, Sword Dancer, and Witch Hunter) with strong equipment-driven customization.
- Roguelike elements: meaningful permadeath, procedural dungeons, and random loot.
Founder Percy Legendre IV described the project as a “love letter to Dante’s Inferno,” where every choice has a moral cost. The game will arrive on PC via Steam, and the Kickstarter campaign is planned for 2027.
