Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] is available as of October 8, 2026 on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through the Microsoft Store on Windows. Square Enix framed the bundle as a direct path into the Dark Seeker Saga with Sora, Donald and Goofy.
What happened?
The package gathers three existing collections: Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind, including the Re Mind DLC. The same titles can also be bought separately. The full set is offered physically and digitally. Square Enix stresses that the current-console versions are native, not cloud streams.
On its Asia news portal, the publisher confirms the same-day launch and says Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese and Korean subtitles are planned for early summer 2027, with a physical edition expected alongside that update. On Switch 2, Kingdom Hearts III can add English voices through a downloadable voice pack.
Why it matters
Until now, much of this story lived on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC via Steam and Epic, and, on the original Switch, as cloud versions. A native Switch 2 and current-gen release cuts the reliance on streaming and lands as the series approaches the 25th anniversary Square Enix has tied to 2027.
Nintendo UK also tells owners of the Switch cloud titles they can buy the native Switch 2 versions at a discount and transfer saved progress. A demo of Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind was already on the eShop.
What changes in practice?
- New players can start from the bundle instead of reconstructing the old release order.
- Each of the three collections can be bought alone if the interest is only Kingdom Hearts III or the earlier remasters.
- On PC, the new storefront in this wave is the Microsoft Store; Steam and Epic already sold the collections.
- Chinese and Korean subtitles are not in the launch build: Square Enix schedules them for early summer 2027.
Prices vary by regional store. Square Enix did not publish a single global price in this release note. Sources: Square Enix North America press release and the Square Enix Asia news portal.
