Square Enix is releasing Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] on Thursday, October 8, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The pack gathers three existing collections and, on Switch 2, moves the series from cloud editions to native versions.
What is in the pack
According to Nintendo’s official page and the Square Enix North America schedule, the bundle includes Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind. In practice that covers the main line through the third game, plus the Re Mind extra and remasters or cutscene compilations of side chapters.
The purchase also includes the platform-exclusive Keyblade Long Night, usable in Kingdom Hearts III. Square Enix Japan says it is not an early-purchase bonus: anyone who buys the collection, even after launch, can redeem it. The download window runs from October 8, 2026 to October 8, 2029.
Switch 2 leaves the cloud behind
On the original Switch, the series arrived mainly as a cloud version that depended on streaming. The Switch 2 edition is native. Nintendo says players who own all Cloud titles individually, or Integrum Masterpiece for Cloud, can get a 50% discount on the native versions and the collection.
In Japan, Square Enix’s e-STORE lists the physical Switch 2 pack at 11,000 yen. The store notes that the physical media is a game-key card: the game downloads on first launch. Nintendo Life lists a Switch 2 price of $74.99 in the United States and £64.99 in the United Kingdom.
Why it matters
Kingdom Hearts mixes Disney and Final Fantasy in a timeline full of side chapters. Having I through III in one pack, on current hardware and without a cloud requirement on Switch 2, lowers the barrier for newcomers. Square Enix still has Kingdom Hearts IV on the calendar for late 2027 on PC, PS5, Switch 2 and Xbox Series.
