Iluvatar CoreX unveils Tiangai 300 IXL144 supernode with 144 GPUs in a single rack

What happened?

Iluvatar CoreX, a Chinese GPU manufacturer for artificial intelligence, presented the Tiangai 300 IXL144 at the 2026 China International Industry Fair in Shanghai. The system is a high-density supernode that packs 144 GPUs and 18 CPUs into a single rack, with approximately 10.1 TB of video memory.

According to the company, the Tiangai 300 IXL144 is the first solution in a complete lineup of supernodes aimed at different computing scales. Vice President Zou Xuan stressed that a supernode is a systems engineering effort, and what matters is economic efficiency at the system level.

Why does this matter?

The Tiangai 300 IXL144 arrives at a time when US export restrictions limit access to advanced Nvidia chips in China. Local high-density solutions help scale AI model training and inference capacity without relying exclusively on foreign hardware.

The company claims the system reduces the cost per million valid tokens by about 40% compared with mainstream international alternatives. Iluvatar CoreX already serves more than 380 customers across over 30 industries, with more than 1,000 projects deployed.

What changes in practice?

For data center operators and Chinese AI companies, the Tiangai 300 IXL144 offers extreme density in a single cabinet, making it easier to expand clusters without multiple racks. The flexible architecture and compatibility with AI ecosystems are highlighted by the manufacturer.

The announcement reinforces the progress of Chinese players in the AI accelerator market, alongside growth from other local firms such as Huawei. There are still no public details on pricing or immediate commercial availability of the IXL144.
