HP RTX Spark laptops leak from $2,999.99 on the OmniBook X

HP's RTX Spark laptops had their prices leak on Wednesday, October 7. According to Notebookcheck, the OmniBook X 14 briefly appeared on the US store from $2,999.99, and the OmniBook Ultra 16 from $3,199.99. The pages were taken down shortly afterward. The Verge and IT Home also reported the accidental listing.

What the listing showed

Both models were announced at IFA 2026 with two RTX Spark chip variants: one with an 18-core CPU and a 5,120-core GPU, and another with a 20-core CPU and a 6,144-core GPU. In the removed listing, the entry setup paired the smaller chip with 32 GB of LPDDR5X-9400 unified memory and a 1 TB PCIe Gen 5 SSD.

Versions with the higher chip, 64 GB of memory and a 2 TB SSD were listed at $4,499.99 for the OmniBook X 14 and $4,999.99 for the OmniBook Ultra 16. The page also indicated an option of up to 128 GB of unified memory. HP has not officially confirmed these figures after pulling the pages.

Why the number stands out

Earlier rumors pointed to an entry near $1,799 on the smaller chip and about $2,899 on the higher one. What the store briefly showed sits well above that, even at 32 GB. RTX Spark, built on the Grace Blackwell module, was pitched by Nvidia as a machine for local AI, creation and 1440p gaming, with memory shared between CPU and GPU.

The leak lands on the same day Microsoft holds a Windows and Surface event at 10 a.m. Pacific. Geekiki already covered the Surface Laptop Ultra with up to 128 GB, expected at that event. HP's listing does not set Microsoft's price, but it offers a range for what partners may charge at the October launch.

What changes in practice

Anyone expecting a local-AI laptop near $2,000 finds, in this listing, a floor close to $3,000 with only 32 GB. Moving to 64 GB and the 20-core chip pushes the price into the $4,500 to $5,000 range. These figures cannot yet be treated as a final table, but they help set expectations before Microsoft's event.

What is still unconfirmed

There is no official on-sale date, and no confirmation that the leaked prices will be final. Nvidia has said the first RTX Spark Windows PCs arrive in October from partners including Microsoft, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo and MSI. Until HP republishes the products, the price should be treated as an accidental listing, not an official table.
