Horror Collector reveals three new voices and guests ahead of the NHK premiere

The Horror Collector anime (Kyōfu Collector) gained three new regular voices and guest cast for the first three episodes, two days before premiere. The official site revealed the names on Thursday, October 8, 2026. The Horror Collector series starts on October 10 on NHK, and Crunchyroll will stream it as it airs in Japan.

Sae Hiratsuka voices Momo, described by Comic Natalie as an AI secretary app in the shape of a pink cat. Ryōta ōsaka is Raita, a boy with a little spiritual sensitivity. Hana Hishikawa is Sachiko Konno, a girl who practices kendo and faces danger head-on. In the opening episodes, Yōko Hikasa voices the Urban Legend Woman in the first, Sumire Uesaka is student Seira Takada in the second, and Yūma Uchida is journalist Takaaki Saitō in the third.

Who was already cast

The previously announced core remains Hiiro Ishibashi as Fushigi Senno, the boy in the red hood who collects materialized urban legends; Saori Hayami as Himitsu, the girl who gives them form; Jun Fukuyama as Jimmy; and Nobuhiko Okamoto as the Blue Umbrella Man. The chase between Fushigi and Himitsu is the spine of the story, based on Midori Satō's children's novels, supervised by Norio Tsuruta with art by Yon.

Yuki Inaba directs and handles series composition at Studio Palette. Kaori Yoshikawa designs the characters, Masato Kōda composes the music and Tetsuya Gunji directs the sound. Kadokawa has published the books since June 2015 and released the 29th volume this week. Niko Yuki's manga adaptation came out in one volume in 2022. Yen Press publishes the novels and manga in English under the JY for Kids imprint.

This announcement does not change the date or the broadcaster. What changes is the voice map in time for Saturday's premiere, including an AI secretary among a cast of urban legends.
