According to a GamesBeat report published on October 13, 2026, Rockstar Games plans to release GTA 6 PC in the first quarter of 2027. The information comes from four industry sources familiar with the studio’s plans, who requested anonymity.
The game is confirmed for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. A GTA 6 PC arrival between January and March 2027 would mean console exclusivity of only two to five months — a much shorter gap than Rockstar’s historical pattern.
What we know about GTA 6 PC
GTA V took about 19 months to reach PC after its previous-generation console launch. Red Dead Redemption 2 took about 11 months. Such a short window for GTA 6 PC would mark a significant shift in the developer’s strategy.
Rockstar has not yet officially confirmed the date or even the existence of a PC version. The report notes that a company representative did not respond to a request for comment.
Why it matters
PC has become increasingly important for Take-Two Interactive. An early GTA 6 PC release could position the platform before the online mode launches, whose date has not been revealed but which Twitch CEO Dan Clancy suggested for 2027.
