Girls und Panzer All-Star Tank Carnival comes to Switch 2 in 2027

D3 Publisher announced Girls und Panzer All-Star Tank Carnival, a new tank action game from the team behind Girls und Panzer: Dream Tank Match. It is set for 2027 in Japan on Nintendo Switch 2. This announcement does not give a day or confirm a release outside Japan.

What happened?

The announcement was published on October 8, 2026. Gematsu summarized the D3 Publisher notice and the text on the game's official site. Girls und Panzer All-Star Tank Carnival is described as an action game in which the player pilots tanks in combat, from the same team as Dream Tank Match, which launched on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

The official site says the fast pace of Dream Tank Match returns: close-quarters combat with drifting, armor angling and shots at treads to immobilize an enemy tank. Graphics and presentation have been updated. Commanders peek out of the hatch, with dialogue during matches.

Why it matters

Girls und Panzer is an anime franchise about sensha-do, school tank combat. Dream Tank Match was the series' most cited action game on PS4 and Switch. All-Star Tank Carnival is the next step in that line, now on Switch 2, not a straight port under the same name.

The official site describes three fronts:

  • Tank combat with drifting, armor angling and treads as a target.
  • Exploration of Oarai with Miho, including the town streets where the story is set and the chance to drive a Panzer IV. Talking to friends around town triggers original story matches, and progress happens as the town is explored.
  • Real-time online battles with up to 10 players, choosing a tank and crew combination.

What changes in practice?

Anyone waiting for the game on Switch 2 has a 2027 window in Japan, with no day set. Price, the playable tank list and a release outside Japan were not detailed in the text Gematsu used. The official site is d3p.co.jp/garupan. Coverage of the announcement is on Gematsu.
