The Ghost of Tsushima anime 2028 has been delayed. During New York Comic Con 2026, Crunchyroll confirmed that the series Ghost of Tsushima: Legends will premiere in 2028 instead of 2027, and revealed new cast and staff members.
What happened
The HAYATE production, in partnership with Aniplex and PlayStation Productions, now has a 2028 window on Crunchyroll. Sony Music remains responsible for the soundtrack.
New voice actors: Mayumi Saco (voice of Tomoe in the 2020 game) and Shinya Fukumatsu (Bomb in One-Punch Man), in unannounced roles.
Staff
Takanobu Mizuno (Star Wars: Visions "The Duel") directs at Kamikaze Douga studio. Gen Urobuchi (Psycho-Pass) handles story composition with Renji Oki. Keiji Inai on music, Yoshikazu Iwanami on sound, Yasumasa Koyama on effects and Gyousyou Suzuki on calligraphy.
Why it matters
The anime adapts the cooperative Legends mode from the Sucker Punch game (PS4 2020, later PS5/PC). The sequel Ghost of Yotei came out in 2025. Fans will have to wait longer, but the team includes heavyweights.
