Dungeon Munchies 2 enters Early Access on November 6

Developer maJAJa set Early Access for Dungeon Munchies 2 on November 6, 2026, on PC via Steam. The announcement, reported by Gematsu this Monday, October 5, confirms the date and what that first build includes.

Early Access brings the first chapter of the story, about two to three hours of play. Further chapters arrive as development continues. The studio expects the game to stay in Early Access for two to three years. The notice does not include a price or a 1.0 date.

Zombie chef, now in space

The Steam page describes the sequel as a side-scrolling action RPG. The player is again a zombie chef, an expert at cooking Earth's monsters. Simmer, a necromancer described as the character's boss, summons them to explore extraterrestrial cuisine and open a restaurant on the other side of a Stargate.

Listed features include hunting and cooking cosmic creatures along the way, a system called the Alien Nutrient Absorption Lattice, tools such as the Plasma Spatula and the Pitmaster Suit, and exploration of a facility in a distant void in search of remnants of human civilization. The tone continues the first game: exiled space critters, time folds, and a demon king, with the joke that defeating an interdimensional god earns dishwashing duty.

The original Dungeon Munchies already mixed platforming, combat, and monster cooking. The sequel moves the setting to a ruined space colony, but the announcement does not compare systems or say what changes beyond the new map and story.

What is confirmed is the calendar: November 6 on Steam, only the first chapter, and an Early Access phase measured in years, not weeks.
