What is Dragon Ball Super Beerus?

Produced by Toei Animation, Dragon Ball Super Beerus is an “enhanced” version that revisits the God of Destruction Beerus arc. The series features redrawn animation, new cuts, a restructured narrative more faithful to Akira Toriyama’s original ideas, updated score and re-recorded dialogue.

The official synopsis recalls: years after the battle against Majin Buu, Earth enjoys a brief period of peace when Beerus awakens from his long sleep and seeks the Saiyan who defeated Frieza.

Where to watch Dragon Ball Super Beerus

Crunchyroll streams the series with subtitles starting today in territories including the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, India, Southeast Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Netflix will also carry the series, with the U.S. premiere scheduled for October 17.

The Japanese TV premiere replaces the One Piece timeslot, which is going on hiatus. The first episode already had a world premiere screening at New York Comic Con.
