Devil Blade Reboot Consumer Edition: M2 announces console version of the shoot 'em up

M2 has announced Devil Blade Reboot Consumer Edition, a console version of the vertical shoot 'em up originally released on PC.

What was announced?

During the ShotTriggers anniversary event, M2 revealed that Devil Blade Reboot Consumer Edition is in development. It is a consumer edition (tentative title) of the game that launched on Steam on May 23, 2024. Platforms and release date have not yet been revealed.

Devil Blade Reboot is a full remake of a 1996 Japanese indie shmup created with the Dezaemon Plus tool for the original PlayStation, developed by Shigatake Games. The modern version includes the Berserk system and a retro mode.

Context

This announcement is part of a series of M2 reveals on the same day, including the re-release of Armed Police Batrider and other classic shoot 'em ups. M2 is known for high-quality ports and re-releases of arcade and retro games.
