ANOMALITH demo is out on PS5, Switch 2 and Steam ahead of the October 29 launch

The ANOMALITH demo is available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam. Publisher FuRyu and developer Winning Entertainment Group have released the opening stretch of the third-person survival shooter, with the full game set for October 29, 2026.

The practical caveat: demo progress does not transfer to the final game. The preview covers the start of the campaign, in which the protagonist enters a Japan overrun by anomalies to look for a missing friend.

What the demo shows

According to the official description quoted by Gematsu, ANOMALITH is set in Japan and mixes liminal spaces with Showa-era retro aesthetics. FuRyu's tagline sums up the tone: "Remain yourself. Live on."

Final Weapon adds story framing. Seventeen-year-old Reona Minazuki becomes a Diver for the government office fighting Anomaly Zones after her friend disappears in one of them. The same outlet credits the scenario to Romeo Tanaka, character design to MON and the score to Yuka Kitamura, known for FromSoftware work including Elden Ring, Sekiro and Bloodborne.

Final Weapon lists a US$49.99 standard edition and a US$69.99 Digital Deluxe. A physical Launch Edition is reportedly set for November 12 at US$59.99. Those prices are not in Gematsu's short report and should be checked on official stores.

Why it matters

The demo lands on three platforms at once, about three weeks before launch. For survival and atmosphere-driven Japanese games, the creative lineup is the hook: Tanaka on story and Kitamura on music place the game next to names already familiar outside pure shooters.

What the demo announcement does not detail yet is how long the playable section runs, or whether Portuguese will be included at launch.
