Cities: Skylines Expanded Edition arrives on Switch 2 on October 28

Paradox Interactive and Tantalus Media announced the Cities: Skylines Expanded Edition for Nintendo Switch 2 on October 7. It launches on October 28 at a suggested price of $49, £41.49 or €49.

The original game, developed by Colossal Order and released in 2015, arrives optimized for the console with revised visuals, better performance and expanded building tools. The buildable area rises from 9 to 25 tiles. Cities: Skylines Expanded Edition includes a map editor, more precise placement, a distance indicator, an environment panel and keyboard-and-mouse support alongside a controller.

There are two graphics modes: performance targeting 60 frames per second with upscaling, and quality targeting 30 frames with visual priority. The package includes 10 expansions and content packs, among them After Dark, Snowfall, Green Cities, Sunset Harbor, Map Pack 3, Country Road, Pearls from the East, Deep Focus Radio, Carols, Candles & Candy and Match Day.

Players who already own Cities: Skylines on Nintendo Switch can use a 70% loyalty discount, valid from October 28, 2026 to April 28, 2027.

New content on PC, PlayStation and Xbox too

On the same day, Paradox releases two Content Creator Packs and a radio station for the PC, PlayStation and Xbox versions of Cities: Skylines and Cities: Skylines – Remastered.
