Cities Skylines Expanded Edition arrives on Switch 2 on October 28

Paradox Interactive and Tantalus Media have announced the Cities Skylines Expanded Edition for Nintendo Switch 2, launching on October 28, 2026. The edition costs $49, £41.49, or €49 and bundles updated visuals, expanded building tools, and content that previously shipped as separate expansions.

The clearest jump from the Switch version is city size. The limit rises from 9 to 25 buildable tiles. There is a map editor, a panel to adjust time of day, rain, fog, and environmental color, and keyboard-and-mouse support alongside the controller. Players choose a performance option targeting 60 frames per second with upscaling, or a quality option targeting 30 fps.

The Expanded Edition includes ten packs: After Dark, Snowfall, Green Cities, and Sunset Harbor, plus Map Pack 3, Country Road, Pearls from the East, Deep Focus Radio, Carols, Candles & Candy, and Match Day. Anyone who already owns Cities: Skylines on Switch can use a 70% loyalty discount from October 28, 2026 through April 28, 2027.
