Electronic Arts published on Thursday, October 9, 2026, the complete roadmap for Season 5 of Battlefield 6, titled “Siege of Vegas”. The season, which marks the start of the game’s second year, begins on October 13 and promises to be the biggest yet, focused on Las Vegas and Nevada.
What arrives at launch
On October 13 two new maps arrive: Vegas Strip, a chaotic urban environment with casinos, luxury hotels, crowded streets and underground storm drains, and Area 51, which places players inside the famous military installation, with air and ground combat plus a subterranean complex of tight corridors.
Also debuting is Rapid Royale mode in REDSEC, a faster version of Battle Royale in trios or solos, with fewer players, high-value loot and an aggressive Ring of Fire. Four new weapons enter the arsenal: the Mk 24 assault rifle, the RSPR SMG, the Z84M light machine gun and the ELR-40 sniper rifle.
Dead Space event and what comes next
During the season there will be a limited crossover event with Dead Space, set around Halloween, in which soldiers discover a Marker hidden beneath Area 51 and try to prevent a Convergence Event. Additional details will be revealed closer to the date.
Later, the Casino Heist update arrives on November 10, bringing the European Casino map focused on infantry combat. On December 8 comes Frozen Aces, with Operation High Roller mode, the return of the Server Browser and Platoons, plus reworks of the Blackwell Fields and New Sobek City maps.
The Gauntlet mode leaves the game on October 13. Between October 15 and 19 there will also be a Full Game Trial of Battlefield 6.
The season also includes expansion of competitive options, with a new Ranked BR season, Open Series and, later, Elite Series with cash prizes.
