Hibernian Workshop released on October 8, 2026 the free update For Those Who Come After for the platform roguelite Astral Ascent, in collaboration with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. The content was announced at the Triple-i Initiative and is already available.
The pack adds six summons from Expedition 33's main cast, three bosses, two music tracks, and three rooms. Named bosses include Golgra, the Mime, and Pétank, with patterns built for the crossover. The rooms include Lumiere. Players can also hug Esquie, the expedition's mascot.
Where to play
According to coverage of the announcement, the free update arrives the same day on Steam, Humble, Epic Games Store, GOG, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. Astral Ascent is a 2D side-scrolling action roguelite; Expedition 33 is the French turn-based RPG that became a recent reference in the genre. The two games do not share mechanics: the crossover enters the roguelite's combat and scenery, and does not turn Astral Ascent into a turn-based RPG.
Famitsu described Gustave, Maelle, Lune, Verso, Sciel, and Monoco joining as summons, plus enemies such as the mime, Golgra, and Pétank. There is no indication that the content is paid.
