Japanese developer PiXEL has set the pseudo-3D shoot ’em up Angelian Trigger for PC via Steam on December 10, 2026, with a PlayStation 5 version planned for 2027. Gematsu reported the date from the developer's announcement.
The game has been on Nintendo Switch since December 12, 2024 in Japan, so the PC release is a port with a fixed date, not a brand-new debut. Gematsu notes a localization detail: an older capture of the Steam page once listed English, but the current listing shows Japanese only. English or Portuguese text is not confirmed.
What the game is
On Steam, Angelian Trigger is described as a shmup that revives the pseudo-3D look of older genre entries, with gentler starting settings and support weapons. The story begins in Wati, a city on the planet Galadseek, at the Eames detective agency. An anonymous request sends Mia and Sheryl to the green planet Sarius, under planetary industry minister Waslia.
Each planet has four stages. Story and arcade modes total 24 stages, with a boss at the end of each stage and a separate boss in music mode. Mia uses dual pistols and a double jump; Sheryl uses a large cannon and can float. Support robot O-P2 covers the rear, alongside force fields and homing lasers. The PC trailer features ending theme “Believe” by Miho Morikawa.
