Airframe Ultra launches today on PC: hoverbike combat racing from the makers of Rain World

Airframe Ultra, the hoverbike battle-racer from Videocult, the studio behind the acclaimed Rain World, launches today, November 5, 2026, on PC. The game is published by Akupara Games and is available via Steam, the Epic Games Store and GOG. The launch price is $12.99, with a 25% discount for the first two weeks ($9.74), according to Akupara's October devlog on Steam.

Set in Megacity West, a dystopian megacity, the game blends racing and combat: riders compete on circuits aboard hoverbikes — the “airframes” — and can hop off to fight on foot with pipes, chains and plasma torches, or leave rivals behind with boosts and risky maneuvers. It offers split-screen and online multiplayer, with PvP and co-op, plus character creation, progression and unlockable parts to build new airframes.

To celebrate the launch, Akupara Games is running the “Eight Days to Infamy” event from November 5 to 12, with a daily challenge posted on the official Discord and a livestream on November 12. Prizes include a custom Airframe Ultra PC case and GPU plate. A free demo is also available on Steam.

According to Videocult, this first version focuses on the game's fundamentals, with new content planned to arrive in paid quarterly expansions — with no individual items for sale. For now, the game is exclusive to PC on Windows.
