What happened?
The Ace Attorney series completes its 25th anniversary on October 12, 2026. Created by Shu Takumi and published by Capcom, the franchise (known as Gyakuten Saiban in Japan) received a new official illustration produced by series artists Kazuya Nuri and Takuro Fuse to mark the date.
The artwork brings together iconic characters from different eras, such as Phoenix Wright, Miles Edgeworth, Apollo Justice and Maya Fey, dressed in special celebration outfits. Capcom also confirmed that the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy collection has surpassed 5 million copies sold worldwide.
Why is this important?
Ace Attorney is one of Capcom's most successful visual novels and helped popularize the investigative adventure genre in the West. Since its original Game Boy Advance release in 2001, the series has accumulated sequels, spin-offs, anime, manga and adaptations. The 25-year milestone arrives without the announcement of a new mainline game, generating expectation among fans.
What changes in practice?
For now, the celebration focuses on the official art, the Trilogy sales milestone and collaborations such as the Capcom Cafe in Japan. There is no confirmation of a new main title in development for the anniversary. Fans should follow Capcom and Ace Attorney official channels in the coming days for any additional announcements.
