Titan OS raises €40 million to take on Google TV and Roku in smart TVs

Titan OS, a technology, entertainment and advertising company based in Barcelona, announced on November 4, 2026 a new €40 million (about $46 million) financing round to develop its independent operating system for smart TVs.

What was announced

The round combines equity from existing investors — Highland Europe and Mangrove Capital Partners — with a credit facility from funds and accounts managed by BlackRock. With the new funding, the company's total raised reaches $110 million (about €97 million).

Founded in 2023 by Jacinto Roca, founder of Wuaki.tv, alongside Timothy Edwards, Miquel Barba and Tobias Pfalzgraff, Titan OS offers a Linux-based operating system as an alternative to platforms such as Android TV and Roku. Its model lets manufacturers customise the interface and share in revenue generated by the screen after the sale, through advertising and free ad-supported (FAST) channels.

Brands already licensing the technology include Philips, AOC, JVC, Vestel, Skyworth and Sharp. Market reports also indicate that Philips has adopted Titan OS for its 2026 TV range, moving away from Google TV — a sign, according to those reports, of the European platform's progress among major manufacturers.

Where the money goes

The company says it has reached 30 million users, up from 18 million a year earlier, and says its revenue has grown 15 times since its founding. With the new capital, Titan OS plans to strengthen its position as Europe's leading independent operating system for connected TVs, expand manufacturer partnerships, and invest in product innovation and advertising technology.

The move comes in a market dominated by US and Asian companies. Titan OS's pitch is to be a partner, not a competitor, to manufacturers — an argument that, according to Highland Europe, helps attract more brands, more viewers and more advertisers.
