The Witch's Bakery launches today: cozy RPG about a witch-baker in Paris, with mobile version on Crunchyroll Game Vault

The Witch's Bakery, a cozy narrative adventure RPG developed by the French studio Sunny Lab and published by Silver Lining Interactive, launches digitally today, October 14, 2026, on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

In the game, you play as Lunne, a joyful witch who opens her bakery in modern Paris. Her special power lets her see into people's hearts and heal their emotions through magic — literally with magical croissants and bread. Each day is divided into three phases: daytime work in the bakery serving customers, evening exploration of Paris districts, meeting characters and entering their “Heart Palaces” to resolve emotional conflicts, and night time to rest, improve magic and decorate the bakery.

The visual style is colorful and hand-drawn, with clear influences from Studio Ghibli and Japanese RPGs. The narrative focuses on vulnerability, friendship and emotional healing, blending bakery management with exploration and sequences inside customers' hearts.

Mobile launch and physical edition

On October 12, Sunny Lab and Silver Lining Interactive announced that the game will also arrive on iOS and Android exclusively through the Crunchyroll Game Vault, available to Mega and Ultimate Fan subscribers. There are no ads, no in-app purchases, and no confirmed mobile date yet — only “coming soon.”

The physical edition for PS5, Switch and Switch 2 arrives on October 16 and includes a bonus Digital Cookbook for anyone who wants to try recreating the magical recipes in real life.

Today's digital launch follows a delay from August 20 to October 14, which the studio justified as extra polishing time and to avoid the heavier competition in September.

Why it matters

The Witch's Bakery fits into the growing wave of cozy and narrative games that combine light management, exploration and emotional themes — a niche that has been expanding among both anime fans and Western indie audiences. The partnership with the Crunchyroll Game Vault expands its reach to the anime and mobile public, while support for Switch 2 reinforces the title's multiplatform presence.

For those following development, the game already had a demo available and recent showings (including at the Convergence Games Showcase), with the studio active on X (@SunnyLabGames) sharing updates and art.
