Perfect Random has announced that SULFUR has sold more than 500,000 copies while still in early access on PC. The studio shared the milestone in a Steam post, in the final stretch before version 1.0, which arrives on October 28, 2026 on PC and on every console at the same time.
This is an update to Geekiki's earlier story announcing the 1.0 date: SULFUR sai do acesso antecipado em 28 de outubro no PS5, Xbox, Switch 2 e PC. The new information here is the sales figure and the launch details confirmed for consoles.
What comes in version 1.0
Version 1.0 completes the story from beginning to end, two years after the PC early access debut. According to the studio and Niche Gamer's coverage, the game will feature more than 60 firearms and a complete enchantment system, with 54 enchantments, including 45 combined enchantments, plus balancing, performance work, polish and quality-of-life changes.
SULFUR is a dark fantasy first-person roguelike shooter: players explore caverns, sewers, settlements and castles, build weapons with attachments and enchantments, and must decide what to carry on each run — gear taken along can be lost if the run goes wrong, and gear left behind may not be there when needed.
Platforms and price
On October 28, SULFUR leaves early access on Steam and launches simultaneously on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The studio has said multiplayer will not be part of version 1.0 — it is planned as a future update — and that 1.0 is not the end of support, with free updates planned.
On the US Nintendo eShop, the pre-order is listed at US$23.99, 20% off the regular US$29.99 price, with estimated sizes of 800 MB on Switch and 940 MB on Switch 2. No exact launch hour has been confirmed, so the date stands on its own for now.
