Resident Evil Switch 2 receives on October 16, 2026 the native versions of the remakes of Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition, Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition, digitally released by Capcom.
What happened?
The three titles arrived simultaneously on the Switch 2 eShop, completing the main series availability on the platform. Physical versions are scheduled for January 29, 2027.
Capcom offers early adopter discounts until November 7, 2026: 25% on RE2 Deluxe, about 34% on RE3 and 20% on RE4 Gold.
Why does this matter?
Unlike previous cloud versions on the original Switch, these Resident Evil Switch 2 are native, using the RE Engine. The games include extra content such as Separate Ways in RE4 and complete editions.
With this, all major Resident Evil titles, including Requiem and the upcoming Veronica, become accessible on the hybrid console.
