Avengers: Doomsday poster puts three masked witches behind Doctor Doom

The new Avengers: Doomsday poster places Doctor Doom in front of three masked figures described as Latverian witches. Marvel Studios showed the art at Comic-Con Málaga with the line “Witching season has arrived.” The film is dated December 18, 2026.

What happened?

The artwork was shown in Spain on October 3, with Anthony Mackie, Winston Duke and David Harbour present. Robert Downey Jr. appears as Doctor Doom. Marvel has not named the three figures. July costumes were green, yellow and purple; the rear figure is now red. Polygon and IGN say identities are unconfirmed and the poster adds no plot.

Why it matters

Doomsday is the next major MCU chapter, directed by the Russo brothers, with Downey Jr. as Doom. Mackie said audiences would see “a lot of doom.” Fan theories about Wanda, Sylvie, Agatha or Clea are unconfirmed.

What changes in practice?

The poster is a seasonal piece, not a trailer. Tickets are promoted for December 18. July's yellow no longer matches October's red.
