Nintendo Switch Sports Resort arrives today, October 22, 2026, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2. The game brings together 12 sports with motion controls, including classics and new additions, in a return to Wuhu Island.
What is the game?
Successor to Nintendo Switch Sports and inspired by Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort, it offers sports like tennis, bowling, golf, boxing, archery, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, plus novelties like thumb wrestling and skateboarding. There are also power cruising and prop plane to explore the island.
Uses Joy-Con 2 with motion and mouse controls. Supports up to 4 local players and online. Digital price around US$ 49.99.
Launch and reception
Announced in the June 2026 Nintendo Direct. Early reviews point to high scores, such as 9/10 on GameSpot and 4/5 on Eurogamer and The Verge, praising the polish and family fun.
