Moon Sweepers is out on Steam: clean the whole Moon with a toothbrush

Moon Sweepers, from Finnish studio DragDrop Games, arrived on Steam on October 23, 2026 for PC. The mission is as absurd as the title suggests: clean the entire Moon — starting with a toothbrush.

Players join the Lunar Surface Department (LSD), the fictional department in charge of lunar housekeeping. The budget, according to the developer, barely covered the starting toothbrush. From there, the work is to collect lunar dust, deliver it to depots and sell it to fund better tools, greater carrying capacity and, later on, cleaning vehicles.

The game can be played solo or in online co-op for up to 16 players. As a crew, players can split up across the map or focus everyone on the same area — and cleaning progress is visible on the terrain, with the surface getting cleaner with every pass.

After launch, DragDrop Games already released patch 1.0.3, with save fixes, performance improvements — up to around 20% higher frame rates on large bases, according to the patch notes — and multiplayer tweaks, such as upgrades shared across the whole crew and host controls, including kicking and banning players from the session.

On the Steam page, the game showed a 15% discount at the time of writing. The same page states that the developer used generative AI to assist with translating the game's text into supported languages.
