Hyperspace Neptunia: Unlimited comes west in 2027

Idea Factory International announced on November 3 that Hyperspace Neptunia: Unlimited will come to the West in 2027 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. The game is the first new mainline Neptunia RPG in more than a decade.

Developed by Compile Heart, the title launched in Japan on August 27, 2026, for PlayStation and Nintendo consoles. The western version also marks the game's planned PC debut via Steam — a notable detail, since the Japanese edition did not include that platform.

In the story, Neptune and the other Goddesses of Gamindustri face an asteroid threatening to destroy the world. After a catastrophic event, Neptune is left isolated in a white void, encounters an unknown voice and discovers strange numbers on her cheek, in a system of repeated endings and new beginnings.

Gameplay additions include free flight across three-dimensional environments, switching between running and flying to reach rooftops, waterways and hidden items, plus aerial combat, dive attacks and vertical positioning in Goddess Forms. The game also features revised combos, new EXE Drive animations and large-scale boss encounters.

For the West, English and Japanese voice acting were confirmed on all platforms. Console versions will have English text, and the Steam version will also support Simplified and Traditional Chinese. Physical editions are planned for PS5, PS4 and Switch 2 in North America — the Switch 2 edition with the full game on the cartridge — and for PS5 in Europe. An exact date, pricing and special-edition contents have not yet been announced.
