Keen Games launches today, October 15, 2026, the full 1.0 version of Enshrouded for PC (Steam) and PlayStation 5. The co-op survival action RPG leaves Early Access after nearly three years — the game entered early access on January 24, 2024.
The launch happens at 15:00 UTC globally. The Xbox Series X|S version is planned for spring 2027, according to the developer, which cited the need for more time to meet performance expectations on that platform.
What arrives with 1.0
The full Embervale map becomes accessible, including the new northern biome Cinder’s Cradle, with lava areas, ruins and regions affected by the Shroud. The player level cap rises to 50 and gear can reach level 55. There are nine new spells (including summons), new enemies, two new Hollow Halls and the Sparkworks logic system, which lets players connect triggers to actions to create traps, puzzles and custom adventures.
PC Early Access saves are compatible and get converted. Players who already bought the game do not need to pay again. The current Steam price is around $39.99. The game supports up to 16 players in one world on PC; crossplay between platforms has not been announced for launch.
Why it matters
Enshrouded sold millions of copies and maintained solid positive ratings on Steam throughout Early Access. The 1.0 release concludes the main journey (for now) and delivers the full map, a milestone for a co-op survival title that competed in the Valheim-like space. Arriving on PS5 on day one of the full release expands the audience, although the initial lack of Xbox leaves part of the fanbase waiting.
The addition of Sparkworks also opens room for community content creation, something valued in the genre.
