Demon's Souls Remake emulation: runs at over 60 FPS on RTX 5070 via PS5

The Demon's Souls Remake emulation of PlayStation 5 continues to advance rapidly, and the Bluepoint Games remake has reached a new performance milestone on PC.

What happened with the Demon's Souls Remake emulation?

A video from the Geralt Benchmarks channel shows the Demon's Souls Remake emulation running at over 60 FPS on a system with Ryzen 7 9800X3D and GeForce RTX 5070, using the KyTyPS5 emulator (chenxiao07 fork, version v20261017). With DLSS Frame Generation 2X enabled, performance approaches 120 FPS at 1440p.

A few weeks ago, the same Demon's Souls Remake emulation barely reached 5 FPS on even more powerful setups, such as RTX 5090. The progress is remarkable and demonstrates the fast evolution of PS5 emulators.

Why does the Demon's Souls Remake emulation matter?

Demon's Souls Remake is a PS5 exclusive (for now), and achieving playable performance of the Demon's Souls Remake emulation on mid-to-high-end PC hardware opens possibilities for fans. Support for DLSS Frame Generation is already present, although Super Resolution is not yet.

Emulation is still experimental, may present bugs, stutters and requires legal game dumps. The KyTyPS5 project is open-source and currently focused mainly on this title. Sources include Wccftech, chenxiao07's GitHub and community demonstrations.
